What Éire Motor Company is
Éire Motor Company is an American boutique car manufacturer — a low-volume automaker building limited-production, hand-finished V8 plug-in hybrid performance cars. The company is developed in Florida and inspired by Ireland: the name, the emerald-and-copper identity, the triquetra emblem and the character of the cars draw on a genuine connection to the island, while engineering and development happen in the United States.
Éire is deliberately small. It does not aspire to volume; it aspires to permanence — cars built in the hundreds, finished by hand, designed to be kept.
What it builds
The flagship is the Éire Eden GT: a twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid 2+2 luxury grand tourer, currently in development. It leaves home in electric silence and crosses countries with a V8 at full voice. Production opens with a numbered Founder Series of 50, and continues beyond it.
Alongside it runs the Éire Forge — the company’s all-electric development platform: a lightweight open-cockpit exoskeleton machine where Éire masters batteries, thermal systems, chassis and software. Prototype 001 stays with the company permanently; future Forge variants will reach limited production as street/track cars.
Is Éire an electric-car company?
No — and it is honest about the journey to that answer. Éire began with an electric concept for the Eden GT and said so publicly. After thinking harder about what a grand tourer must do — cross countries on a whim, with drama on demand — the company chose a twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid: meaningful electric-only driving for daily life, a cross-plane V8 for the horizon. The engineering thesis: an electric motor doesn’t replace a great V8. It makes one better.
The all-electric Forge continues precisely because electrification expertise powers the hybrid system. Éire is best described as a V8 hybrid performance-car maker, not an EV startup.
