What it is
The Banshee is Éire's mid-engine exotic. The engine sits behind the driver, the cabin sits forward, and the whole car is shaped around the idea that a supercar should be heard before it is seen. It is the car in the lineup that trades the Eden GT's long-distance grace for something sharper.
It is still an Éire, and that shows: the emerald paint, the copper trinity knot in the honeycomb grille, the three-blade lighting cutting across the nose. Nothing on it is borrowed from another brand's idea of what an exotic looks like. It is our grand tourer's DNA, stretched over a very different skeleton.
The Idea
The bean sí — the woman of the fairy mound — is the figure in Irish folklore whose cry is heard before anything is seen. That is the whole point of the name. The Banshee announces itself with sound first, and the sound is not the Eden GT's rumble. It is a scream.
The design follows the myth: low, cab-forward, the mass carried behind the driver, the surfaces pulled tight over the mechanical package. The emerald honeycomb and copper knot sit lower and wider than on the Eden GT, and the three-blade lamps are narrowed to slits. It is unmistakably the same family, in a hurry.
Character
Every Éire V8 hybrid has a voice. The Eden GT is deep thunder from a cross-plane crank. Balor is louder and harder. The Banshee is different in kind: a flat-plane twin-turbo V8, the configuration that revs higher and screams where a cross-plane rumbles. Three cars, three registers, one family.
It is a plug-in hybrid with an electrified front axle, so the front wheels are driven by electricity while the V8 drives the rear. And it deliberately does not use everything the platform can give. It is complete on its own terms, and it sits below the Dagda in the lineup by design.

Where it stands
Concept
The Banshee is a concept — a design study, not a product. There is no order book and there are no final specifications; what we have shown here is a direction, and directions change as they are tested.
It sits fifth in the ladder, after the Eden GT, Balor and TORC, and each of those cars has to earn the next. We are showing the Banshee now because the family's three voices only make sense when you can hear all three.
