The super-truck you can actually use as a truck.
What it is
TORC — pronounced tork — is the concept for a full-size, crew-cab luxury performance pickup. The important word is truck. It has a bed, it tows, it seats a crew, and it does the things a truck is for. It simply does them wearing Éire's emerald honeycomb grille, copper knot and three-blade lighting.
The brief we set ourselves is easy to say and hard to do: tow the Banshee to the track, drop the trailer, and be the fastest thing in the lot. That is what a super-truck should be. Most are one or the other. TORC is built to be both.
The Idea
A torc is the Celtic neck ring — a heavy band of gold or bronze worn by chieftains and warriors as a mark of wealth and power. Torc is also the Irish word for a wild boar, the animal that will not be moved. And it is, to any English ear, torque. Three meanings, none invented, all pulling in the same direction.
The design carries the poster's line: Irish DNA, American size, global standard. The proportions are unapologetically full-size, because a truck that has been shrunk to look tidy is not a truck. What makes it an Éire is the face — the grille, the knot, the three blades — and the discipline of the surfaces around it.
Character
TORC is a plug-in hybrid, because that is the drivetrain that suits it. Electric power gives a truck what a truck most wants — torque from the first inch of pedal — and quiet for the morning and the neighbourhood. The engine gives it the range and the sustained pull that towing demands.
Its character is different from the cars. The Eden GT, Balor and Banshee are about voice and speed. TORC is about capability that happens to be fast. If you never towed a thing with it you would be missing the point, and we would rather you didn't.

Where it stands
Concept
TORC is a concept — a design study that exists to carry Éire's design language and drivetrain philosophy onto a full-size truck without becoming a caricature of either. It is not a product, it has no order book, and the specifications behind it will change as the design matures.
It sits fourth in the ladder, after the Eden GT and Balor, and that is the sensible progression: the grand tourer first, then the car that widens the family to five seats, then the truck. The car that comes first is the Eden GT, and everything TORC becomes will be earned there.
